Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of MAC-MAC, the macOS macro recorder, the MAC-MAC Cloud dashboard at macmac.sentroy.com, and any related services. By installing or using MAC-MAC you agree to be bound by them.
Last updated April 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, signing in to, or otherwise using MAC-MAC (the “Service”) you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the Service after a revision means you accept the updated Terms.
2. The Service
MAC-MAC is a native macOS application that records and replays keyboard, mouse and scroll events on the user's own computer. It also offers an optional cloud backup service which stores encrypted JSON copies of recorded macros associated with the user's account.
MAC-MAC is intended for personal productivity, accessibility assistance, internal QA automation, repetitive form-filling and similar legitimate uses on systems and accounts you are authorised to control.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if you reside in the European Economic Area) to create an account or purchase a Lifetime license. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide during sign-up is accurate.
4. Accounts
Authentication is provided by Firebase Authentication. You may sign in with email + password or with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
MAC-MAC enforces a single active session per account: signing in on a new Mac automatically signs out any previous device. We do not support concurrent sign-ins on multiple machines.
5. License grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the MAC-MAC application on Macs that you own or control.
Free plan
The Free plan includes local recording, local playback with bounded loop counts, speed control, custom delays, and macro export. Cloud backup, infinite-loop playback and macro import are NOT available on the Free plan.
Lifetime plan
Purchasing a Lifetime license unlocks all premium features, including cloud backup, infinite-loop playback, macro import, and any future feature flagged as “Lifetime” at the time of purchase. The license is perpetual for the major version line in which it was purchased.
6. Payments and refunds
Lifetime purchases are processed by Polar.sh, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Polar handles billing, taxes, invoicing and any chargebacks. Their terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction itself.
We do not store your payment instrument details. We receive only the order identifier and the customer identifier from Polar, which we use to associate your Lifetime entitlement with your account.
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and Polar's standard refund policy. To request a refund, contact support within 14 days of purchase and include your Polar order reference.
7. Your content
Macros you record with MAC-MAC are your content. We claim no ownership over them. When you opt in to cloud backup, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, encrypt and transcode your macros solely for the purpose of providing backup, sync and restore functionality to you and devices signed in to your account.
You can delete a backup at any time from the Backups dashboard. Deletion is permanent and removes the macro JSON from our primary database immediately. Routine database backups may retain a copy for up to 30 days before being purged.
8. Acceptable use
MAC-MAC is a productivity and accessibility tool. It exists to save you time on repetitive computer tasks that you are authorised to perform. The list below is non-exhaustive — if you are unsure whether your use case is acceptable, ask us before recording it.
Permitted uses (illustrative)
- internal business automation: data entry, form filling, report generation, repetitive office tasks on systems your employer owns or you are contracted to operate;
- QA and software testing automation against environments you own or are licensed to test;
- accessibility assistance for users with motor or repetitive-strain injuries who need to delegate physical input;
- personal productivity: window arrangement, app launching, recurring workflows on your own machine;
- creative workflow automation in design / video / 3D tools where the underlying software's licence permits scripted input.
Prohibited uses
You may NOT use MAC-MAC, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to develop, distribute, run, sell or facilitate any of the following:
- Game cheating of any kind, including but not limited to: aimbots, triggerbots, recoil-control scripts, auto-fire / rapid-fire macros, auto-block / auto-parry, perfect-timing macros for fighting games, auto-combo scripts, no-recoil routines, auto-headshot, wall-bang assistance, or any sequence designed to give a player an unfair mechanical advantage in any single-player or multiplayer game;
- Auto-clicker, auto-farm, auto-fish, auto-grind, auto-quest, auto-loot, auto-craft or any unattended automation against any video game, idle game, MMO, gacha game, mobile game, browser game or game-adjacent service — even on a private server, even on your own account;
- Boosting, smurfing, account-leveling, account-selling, account-recovery automation, ranked-match manipulation, win-trading, ELO manipulation, tournament cheating, leaderboard manipulation, or any practice that distorts competitive integrity;
- Bypassing, evading, defeating, weakening or otherwise interfering with anti-cheat systems (including BattlEye, Easy Anti-Cheat, VAC, Vanguard, FACEIT, ESEA, Hyperion, nProtect GameGuard, Denuvo Anti-Cheat or any equivalent), kernel-level monitors, integrity checks, hardware bans or device fingerprinting;
- In-game economy abuse: dupe exploits, gold farming, item farming, currency botting, market-flipping bots, RMT (real-money trading), gold-buying support tooling;
- Click fraud, ad-impression fraud, view-bot, like/follow/subscribe automation, fake-engagement generation, paid-to-click farming, captcha solving for the purpose of automated account creation, or any practice classified as digital advertising fraud;
- Mass account creation, fake account creation, automated sign-ups against platforms whose terms prohibit it, or any form of sybil-attack tooling;
- Ticket scalping, sneaker botting, drop botting, limited-product checkout automation, or any automation that competes against human shoppers on e-commerce platforms whose terms prohibit it;
- Trading automation against any exchange, marketplace, brokerage, prediction market, casino, sportsbook or gambling platform whose terms of service do not explicitly permit user automation;
- Spam: bulk message sending, automated DM-blasts, comment spam, forum-flood automation against any platform;
- Credential stuffing, brute-force login automation, password-spray attacks, captcha bypassing, 2FA bypassing or any unauthorised authentication automation;
- Interacting with any computer system, account, network, service or person you are not personally authorised to control or contact;
- Violating the published terms of service, acceptable-use policy, end-user-licence agreement or community guidelines of any third-party platform, application, game or service whose interface you automate;
- Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, stalkerware, key-loggers (other than the user's own keystrokes on the user's own machine), surveillance tooling, or any covert recording of another person's input;
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling or attempting to extract the source code of MAC-MAC, except as expressly permitted by mandatory local law;
- Sharing, reselling, leasing, sublicensing or redistributing your account credentials or your Lifetime entitlement;
- Any conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, civil wrong, regulatory breach or data-protection violation under the laws of the user's country, the operator's country, or the country where the targeted system is located.
Why this list exists
MAC-MAC is a payment-processed service. The merchant of record (Polar.sh) and the underlying card networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) classify general-purpose automation tooling as high-risk and require operators to enforce explicit prohibitions against the categories above — particularly any form of game cheating, click fraud, ticket scalping or credential abuse. We share that policy because we built MAC-MAC for legitimate productivity, not for cheating, fraud or abuse. Strict enforcement of this section is what keeps MAC-MAC available as a paid product.
Enforcement
Violation of any prohibition in this section is grounds for immediate, irreversible termination without prior notice. Your Lifetime licence is forfeited and you are not entitled to a refund. Cloud backups associated with the violating account are deleted. We may report serious abuse — especially anything involving fraud, malware, harassment or attacks on third-party infrastructure — to the relevant authorities, to the affected platforms and to our payment processor.
If your account is terminated under this section and you believe it was a mistake, you may appeal once to info@sentroy.com within 14 days. We review appeals in good faith but reserve final discretion.
9. Intellectual property
MAC-MAC, the MAC-MAC name, the MAC-MAC logo, the source code, design, documentation and the macmac.sentroy.com website are protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in Section 5, no rights are transferred to you.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the third-party processors involved (Firebase, MongoDB Atlas, Polar.sh and Apple).
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT YOUR MACROS WILL EXECUTE WITHOUT FAILURE ON ANY GIVEN MACOS VERSION OR THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE OR OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service in breach of any applicable law, or your macros' interaction with third-party systems.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings → Profile → Security. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.
If your account is terminated by us for cause (such as a violation of Section 8), your Lifetime license is forfeited and no refund is owed. If you delete your own account voluntarily, your Lifetime license is also surrendered.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the dashboard and the “Last updated” field at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Service after a revision takes effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of MAC-MAC is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the jurisdiction in which you reside may apply where they are more favourable to you.
